ORLANDO MAGIC OVERALL REPORT
BY MAX VAN AUKEN | FEB 23RD 2026

The Orlando Magic have been good this season and have earned respect as a legitimate competitor in the Eastern Conference. Early in the season they battled through injury and inconsistency, but as the calendar turned toward February they emerged as one of the more exciting teams to watch. Orlando currently holds a winning record around 30-26, sits first in the Southeast Division, and is positioned comfortably inside the playoff picture as they head toward spring.
A big reason the Magic have been good is the way their stars have played together. Paolo Banchero has been a consistent two-way leader, averaging over 20 points and helping run the offense with rebounds and assists, while Desmond Bane has been a reliable scorer, giving Orlando a second offensive punch. Anthony Black and Wendell Carter Jr. have made strong contributions too, bringing secondary scoring and physical presence down low.
Orlando has also shown they can win in different ways. In one recent game they set a franchise record with 27 made 3-pointers in a blowout victory, a performance that showcased their shot making and offensive rhythm. In another they edged a tough opponent on the road in a tight finish, proving they are capable of close clutch moments.
The Magic have faced challenges, including the absence of Franz Wagner due to injury yet they’ve still managed to stay competitive. Their depth has kept them afloat during tough stretches, and their ability to bounce back from losses speaks to a resilient culture under Coach Jamahl Mosley.
Overall, Orlando’s blend of young talent and growing cohesion has translated into a strong campaign that feels like more than just potential. They’re winning meaningful games, climbing the standings, and proving they can hang with both top teams and tough contenders. Fans have something to cheer about as the season progresses toward the playoff push.
